About Course Approval
Oregon high schools use the Course Approval Process in order to ensure that courses considered college preparatory are recognized as such by at the seven Oregon public universities.
Each year, high schools are asked to update their courses in the course approval database. Representatives from each university campus then review and either verify each course as “college prep” or not. This is completed before the academic year begins in order to allow schools to make adjustments to the course or student schedule in order for the student to meet college entry requirements.
The public can view all courses from all schools that have data in Course Approval by using the Search feature.
The login information is the same as years past. University users can “Unverify” courses and request more information through the Note feature.

High School Personnel
If you are the high school staff person responsible updating course approval, you can log in to the site (email address or username) and you can see your institution’s courses under “Submitted Courses.”To join the High School Course Approval listserv, please visit the High School listserv website.
